Cadet goes to Japan on IACE

International Air Cadet Exchange is an opportunity for CAP cadets to experience foreign cultures and meet young people who share their enthusiasm for flying across borders and continents. To participate in this challenging program cadets must be 17 years old and have achieved the rank of Cadet Captain (Amelia Earhart Award).

General Jimmy Stewart Squadron is proud that one of our own, Cadet Commander C/LTC Paul Hammes, had been selected this year to represent CAP and the United States Air Force visiting the Sky Friends in Japan.

Two fun filled and educational weeks provided a glimpse at the fascinating culture of Japan and interesting contacts with the Japanese Air Defense Force. More pictures of this exciting journey can be viewed in the photo gallery.
